Reading Group, The Use of Psychodrama in Individual Psychotherapy, Friday, 30 October.

the group, but the concept of psychodrama begins with the individual – within his
or her world of experience. The
psychodramatist respects this fact by ‘accepting the patient with all his
subjectivity’. (Z. T. Moreno, 1966, p.237). ”
The penultimate
meeting for the PIM READING GROUP for 2015 is Friday, 30 October at 1/10-12
Adolph St, Cremorne, Victoria from 12.45 to 1.45 p.m. I am the
moderator for this meeting and the article that I have chosen is Marsha Stein
and Monica Callahan’s, "The Use of Psychodrama in Individual Psychotherapy".

words from which the term is derived is ‘the soul in action’. In our minds we continually review
conversations, rehearse interactions, imagine future events, play out our
conflicts, and, through it all, talk to ourselves.”
Lunchtime Reading Group
Last
Friday of the month from 12.45 to 1.45 p.m
This
group is designed to suit those with an hour to spare at lunchtime. Budding
writers, trainees and practitioners are welcome! We will discuss psychodrama
works; DVD’s and literature and other related material. A moderator who will
send the material, or give it out at the previous meeting for reading or
viewing, will lead the discussion.
Dates: 27 Feb, 27 Mar, (no April), 29 May, 26 Jun, 31 Jul, 28 Aug, 25 Sep, 30 Oct.
& 27 Nov.
Fee: $10.00
per session includes freshly brewed coffee and selection of teas and goes
towards building up the PIM and MPS library. BYO lunch.

Theatre of Spontaneity, Sunday 25 October - "Magic Moments" with Danielle Forer
Life
is full of magic moments – the birth of a new child, the first encounter
between a couple when the spark of romance ignites, a moment of inspiration and
creativity, the moment when someone finds extra strength to achieve the
impossible, an experience of healing; or it may be the actual act of magic and
theatre that is spellbinding and captivating, it’s a special moment between
friends, it’s an amazing sunset. Psychodrama as a method itself is full of
magic.
What
comes to your mind when you consider the theme of magic moments? What magic
tricks do you have up your sleeves or have you called on or experienced in
life?
