Monday 11 December 2006
The Faculty of PIM and the Central Coordinating Committee (CCC) of the Moreno Psychodrama Society (MPS) met together this morning at 104 Simpson Street to send out the 2007 PIM brochure, with a Notice of the Theatre of Spontaneity, (which will be held on the last Friday of every month beginning, Friday, 23 February at PIM - An Open Event with Friends, Member of MPS and PIM trainees all welcome), plus Simon's and Julie's Calendar of Personal Development and Joanie's 'Text Busters'...All are in the mail today!!
It was fun. Our meeting was scheduled from 10.30 a.m to 12.30 p.m. It began at 10.30 a.m precisely. At 10.35 a.m we took a break with coffee, tea and croissants and donuts. Someone locked her keys in her car and missed meeting with someone else so it was wonderful that she (and the other, arriving separately) made it in time for this break.
It was Marie Watt's first meeting since she has recently joined the MPS CCC. It wasn't Simon Parker's first meeting, since he met with the Faculty several weeks ago but he is new on the Faculty, starting in 2007. Our other new members of CCC are Patricia Green and Nikki Alderman. This makes 8 members on the CCC: Helen Fryer, Sue Daniel, Gillian Blackwell, Marie Watt, Patricia Green and Nikki Alderman (Australia) and Katrina Gaskin and Lethe Gaskin (New Zealand). Nikki arrived in a flurry and generously massaged a few shoulders before settling down to fold flyers and stuff envelopes with the rest of us. We finished on the dot of 12.30 p.m - must have been the good ol' mutual tele operating between us.
The next meeting of the CCC is in February, 16th at Helen's house at 7 p.m. We will be preparing for the Spring Gathering which will happen on Sunday, 3 March at PIM from 2 - 5 p.m and the first Theatre of Spontaneity on Friday, February 23, at PIM from 7.30 - 10.30 p.m.
I know it is very early in the piece to make Gathering announcements for 2007, but do put this date (Autumn Meeting, SUNDAY, 4 MARCH 2007 from 2 - 5 p.m) in your diary. Our three other dates for 2007 are: Sundays, 3 June (Winter Meeting), 26 August (slightly early Spring Meeting); with the final (Summer) one being a Christmas Party on 2 December 2007. Our known focus next year is on the hosting of the monthly Theatre of Spontaneity events, how and whether to affiliate with PACFA and publication of writings of members, trainees and practitioners.
