PIM OPENING NIGHT - ALL WELCOME - FRIDAY, 20 FEBRUARY 2015

The new year is here, 2015 and what a year it promises to be.  At Adolph Street, (aka Green Dolphin Street after the 1947 movie and accompanying music "On Green Dolphin Street" by the incredible Miles Davis) we are gearing up to the start of the first term of the PIM program and the forthcoming Theatre of Spontaneity organised by the Moreno Psychodrama Society.

The PIM Open Night, which you are all invited to attend is on Friday night, 20 February.  We are gathering together at 7 for a 7.30 p.m start followed by a very creative night, which we will all co-create.

On Saturday and Sunday, 21 & 22 February, I am conducting the first weekend of many for the year, "Being in the Moment - A Solution to Vicarious Trauma".  This workshop is on Psychodrama and Neuroscience.  I'm looking forward to this as the new science really demonstrates the value of action methods and particularly the here and now of the psychodrama method.

On Sunday night, 22 February immediately following the training weekend, Gavin O'Loughlin gets into the swing of the summer with his topic of SUMMER LIVING.  Here is a little peep of what is to come: "What does it mean for our lived experience to be in summer?  Are our relationships different from how they are in other seasons; relationships to individuals and groups we're involved with such as family and friends, work mates, recreational groups and our relationships with animals, the land, sea and sky?  The details are in the previous announcement on the blog including fees and times.

Jun Maeda is visiting us again this year and his first visit is also in February.  He is bringing with him twenty colleagues from Japan and their translator.  I will be conducting a workshop with them on Wednesday and Thursday, 25 & 26 February.  Keep tuned in to the blog because we will also have a few social events around this time.

On Friday 27 February, the first Practitioner's Group meets, followed by the first Lunchtime Reading Group, yes, you may have guessed it, it's on an article I wrote (see text on the column to the right under Writings), on Psychodrama and Neuroscience and this will be the text for discussion.   On Friday afternoon the first session of the Friday Afternoon Monthly Supervision Group begins at 2.15 p.m.

Hell, we haven't got to the training sessions yet!  Level 1 gets going Thursday 26th of February, Level 3, Wednesday the 25th and Level 2 commences on Tuesday 24th of Feb, all starting at 7.30 p.m.

I think I will leave the month of March to another time except to announce Sharni Page-Cameron's One-Day Psychodrama Workshop on Saturday, 21st of March, "Connecting Within".

Check the website for our 2015 PROGRAM and see you soon!

Theatre of Spontaneity, 22 February 2015.

TOPIC: Summer Living.

What does it mean for our lived experience to be in summer?  Are our relationships different from how they are in other seasons; relationships to individuals and groups we're involved with such as family and friends, work mates, recreational groups and our relationships with animals, the land, sea and sky?

How are we bodily in summer?  There's the skin, the hair, clothes, what and how much we eat and drink, how active we are, how we sleep and so on.

Which qualities emerge and which recede in summer?

PS. This is our first Theatre of Spontaneity for 2015 and the first in PIM's new premises as well, so it's exciting in various ways and one not to miss.  See you there!
